 Arezzo is situated in southern Tuscany\; this medieval ce
 ntre became famous thanks to Roberto Benigni’s movie “Life is Beautifu
 l” which was awarded with 3 Oscars in 1999.
 Visiting Arezzo  is an un
 forgettable experience. This charming hilltop city  still preserves the r
 hythm of life that other touristy cities have lost. Every brick or stone e
 xudes centuries of history
 Our tour will include a visit to the Gothic 
 Cathedral\, renowned for its stained glass windows along with the magnific
 ent “Magdalene” fresco by Piero della Francesca and the glazed terraco
 tta altars by Andrea della Robbia.
 Stroll past the medieval City Hall 
 and the Bishop’s Palace\, before stopping at the birthplace of Francesc
 o Petrarca one of the main forefathers of the Italian literature. Take a c
 loser look at the Piazza Grande\, which is considered one of Italy’s mo
 st beautiful squares.
 In this wonderful site the famous local Antiques F
 air is held the first weekend of every month\; and twice a year exactly on
  this spot\, the local medieval tournament\, the Joust of the Saracen\, t
 akes place. Continue your tour with a visit to the Romanesque Church “La
  Pieve”\; its façade is unique\, in particular for its 68 different col
 umns and for its magnificent cycle of medieval sculptures (the Cycle Of Th
 e 12 Months).
